If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. - 1 John 1:9 (ESV)

This happens all the time in PA. Most school districts are ignorant of the PA law, and many homeschoolers are, as well- relying on someone else’s interpretation of the law, or often their own fear of “not doing enough” and somehow needing to “prove” they are adequate.
School districts can request or require all they want, but if it is not in the law, it cannot be required.
So many people think PA law is difficult. It really isn’t. It’s vague, contradictory, and useless in parts. And certain homeschool organizations make it harder than it has to be, which instills fear in many- leading to “overcompliance.” Then when one homeschooler turns in a detailed minute-by-minute account, lovingly scrapbooked in a 3-volume set of 4″ binders and presented at a meeting allowing the school district to test and grill the child, they expect everyone to do so.
So, for homeschoolers everywhere, and especially in PA, KNOW YOU LAW!
